Codependency:

Have you ever felt tied and entangled to something or someone? I think perhaps we all can concur that life gets a little chaotic sometimes and relationships become binding instead of beautiful and beneficial. You may even feel trapped sometimes. Whenever there is an excessive psychological or emotional reliance on a person/partner, especially someone who needs your support due to their addiction or illness, this tie that binds is called codependency. Some relationships are like spaghetti, they go around in circles until they are dissolved. The good news is that you can free yourself by changing your mindset. Instead of feeding someone fish everyday, gradually teach them to fish on their own. This mindset will remove the guilt that may be associated with you prioritizing your life and caring for yourself. Collaboration without codependency is possible. Stay hopeful!
